The most complicated thing for a mother is to give birth, and not just that, what makes the situation worse is that when the baby she has to give birth to is not her husband’s. The shock her husband has to go through is both heartbreaking and hilarious. Read the following stories below to see what situation they had to go through:
.A nurse narrates her story that she was once working on the maternity ward and had delivered a black-haired baby whose both the parents were white, and blonde. Now the father had both black haired parents and this still not satisfied him. But the woman, after her husband left the room, was puzzled and exhausted and asked the nurse if her husband was cheating on her as the baby did not match the parents. Really, sex education really is important for some!
.A woman narrates her story that when she was giving birth to her first baby, she was taken inside the ward but her husband was asked to stay outside for some paperwork. The couple was confused since they had already pre-registered. Once ushered in the ward, the nurse asked her if she wants to call someone else if the baby isn’t her husband’s. Apparently, it was so common in that town for such cases that they actually registered a paperwork for that!
.A man in that ward went out to take a puff of a cigarette and never came back.
.A woman here tells her story that she is not a nurse but works in the portion of a blood bank. The compatibility between a mother and her baby is calculated by matching the blood group of the baby. She gets queries about the patients that the blood group of the baby does not match her parents, which is so awkward for her to address that she just says its because the parents sometimes confuse their own blood group (which really happens, by the way).
.Here, the doctor mentions that her patients often have two predicted fathers to one baby, which happens in a way that either the boyfriend visits the ward after the husband leaves or both of them stay in the ward trying to figure out who matches the baby’s features most.
.Once, a woman refused to push the baby out after she has been fully dilated, because she was afraid that the baby is not going to look like her and her husband. They were both white.
.One black woman gave birth to a white baby, though his husband was white too (phew), but when she showed her baby’s pictures to her coworkers, one of them was confused about the baby’s gender because he assumed the baby has to match her mother’s skin.
.A man shares a story that his wife is nurse and in her hospital, every time a baby is born, the hospital rings a bell to let everyone know and its kind of adorable. But it also that, sometimes after the baby alarm, a yellow bell is rung which indicates some sort of fight or physical violence is happening and some muscly, well-built man is required to control the situation.
.A woman who is a phlebotomist, shared her case that in her hospital, that a lot of unwed women don’t let the S/O sign the papers when even though they are the true biological fathers of the babies which cause a great scene in the hospital. Also, people snatch the babies and run too, which is why there are extra security there.
.A lot of times, fathers see a new born for the first time when their own babies are born. So naturally, they cannot tell the difference between him and the baby although nurses are quick to observe and guess. Plus, all the babies are white at birth which often confuses the black parents. Also, there are also recessive genes where the babies are born looking like neither of the parents and are purely biologically the couple’s children. No cheating involved.
